Fans Reach Honest Verdict On Nikola Jokic, Nuggets After Game 2 Loss

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets suffered their second straight loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs Conference Semifinals on Monday night.

Jokic had a less-than-stellar performance, scoring 16 points on 5 of 13 shooting with 16 rebounds, eight assists, and four turnovers.

The three-seeded Timberwolves are the highest seeded team the Nuggets have faced in the playoffs over the last two years. Denver beat the seven-seed Los Angeles Lakers in round one this year and in their 2023 title run, the Nuggets faced the eight-seed Wolves, the four-seed Phoenix Suns, the seven-seed Los Angeles Lakers, and the eight-seed Miami Heat.

NBA fans took notice of this and started calling out Jokic and the Nuggets for their easy ride last year and how they can't beat good teams in the playoffs.

One fan said "The Denver Nuggets when not playing the Lakers" and posted a picture of a previous Nuggets team that didn't have much success.

Another commented, "The Nuggets now that they’re not facing a play-in team lead by a 40 year old..."

The Nuggets will try to bounce back on the road against Minnesota and avoid a 3-0 hole. Game 3 is on Friday, May 10th, at 9:30 PM EST.
