DENVER (KDVR) — Showers and cooler temperatures will move into the Denver weather forecast on Wednesday night into the weekend, with snow possible before warmer weather returns.

Weather tonight: More clouds, showers late

On Wednesday night, increasing clouds will be followed by the chance for showers. Lows will fall to the mid-30s, which is about normal for this time of year.

Thursday morning will start with a mix of rain and snow. Expect little to no snowfall accumulation in the Denver area and limited grassy snowfall accumulations in higher elevations like the foothills and Palmer Divide.

Showers will wrap up through the afternoon, but temperatures will be much cooler.

Highs in Denver will only reach 50 degrees, which is more than 10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.

Looking ahead: More showers before weekday warmup

Friday will start cool and dry. This will be followed by another chance for showers through the evening and overnight.

The chance for showers will continue into Saturday morning, and with temperatures in the 30s, showers will likely start as snow before transitioning to rain as high temperatures climb into the 50s.

On Monday, there is a slight chance for an isolated shower alongside highs back near 70 degrees. Sunshine moves back into the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday with highs climbing to the mid-70s.
