NEW YORK (PIX11) — Lightning and violent storms swept across parts of the tri-state area on Tuesday, causing damage to cars and even homes. In Midland Park, New Jersey, a lightning strike hit a backyard tree, breaking off a large branch that then struck the corner of a house, damaging part of the gutter, before crashing into the cars parked below.
