Defiance common pleas

Luciano Zepeda, 31, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded no contest to three counts of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), third- and fifth-degree felonies; and two counts of failure to appear as required by recognizance, each a fourth-degree felony. He was found guilty of each. He was given a 40-month prison term with credit for 139 days served in jail while his case was pending. He also was placed on community control for five years following his release from prison while $393 seized in the investigation was ordered forfeited and applied to his court costs.

Amber Couts, 41, 265 E. Broadway Ave., appeared for sentencing on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. She was placed on community control with conditions.

Rick Fuller, 66, Ney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. He was placed on community control for two years.

Thomas Santos, 49, Defiance, appeared for sentencing on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. He was placed on community control for two years.

Kristi Farquhar, 53, 4487 Power Dam Road, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and her bond was continued. Sentencing was set for May 28.

Delon Johnson, 28, Toledo, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 3.

Jameelah Lee, 45, Davenport, Iowa, pleaded no contest to attempted engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and telecommunications fraud, each a third-degree felony, and was found guilty. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing was scheduled for May 22. Her bond was modified to a personal-recognizance bond.

David Mendieta, 61, Hicksville, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was set for June 3.

George Adkins, 35, 1445 Terrawenda, pleaded not guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony; grand theft, a third-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 1 and bond was set at $10,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

Sonya Chiles, 48, Stryker (CCNO), pleaded not guilty plea to OVI. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 2 and bond was set at $25,000 with a 10% allowance provision.

Santos Marroquin, 47, 08274 Ohio 15, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for April 30 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Leslee Newsom, 49, Fort Wayne, pleaded no contest to attempted engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a third degree-felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony, and was found guilty. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and he bond was modified to a personal-recognizance bond. Sentencing was set for May 23.

Steven Sheeks, 57, Continental, pleaded not guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 2 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Kristi Warner, 37, 1628 Terrawenda Drive, pleaded not guilty to theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 9 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Gregory Parsons, 30, Stryker (CCNO), was found incompetent to stand trial on charges of burglary, a second-degree felony; and 11 counts of vandalism, one fourth-degree felony, the others fifth-degree felonies. He was admitted to the Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital for treatment and restoration to competence. The matter was continued.
