Marshall PD asking residents to avoid area following crash
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A crash involving a dump truck and a power line on Thursday has streets blocked in the Village of Marshall, Marshall Police Department reports. According to a Facebook post by the police department, officers found two downed power poles in the street and multiple poles that were leaning sideways when they arrived on the scene.
Madison man wanted on warrant for OWI-5 arrested, back in Chippewa Co jail
CHIPPEWA FALLS — A Madison man wanted on an open warrant since November for a drunk-driving charge has been arrested and is back in the Chippewa County Jail. Kenneth W. Lewis, 40, was charged in July 2022 in Chippewa County Court with OWI-6, operating while revoked, possession of narcotic drugs, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Traffic delays expected for Midwest Horse Fair
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is informing people in the Madison area to expect traffic delays during the Midwest Horse Fair this weekend. Significant traffic volume is expected around the Alliant Energy Center this Friday and Saturday. Highway 12/18, John Nolen Drive and Rimrock Road are also expected to experience similar volume from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. both days.
MOPD: Alleged stolen vehicle went over 100mph on Beltline
MONONA, Wis. (WMTV) - An alleged stolen vehicle went over 100mph westbound on the Beltline Tuesday afternoon, reports the Monona Police Department. At about 1:20 p.m., MOPD says its officers received a report of an outside agency pursing a vehicle that was allegedly stolen at gunpoint in the City of Madison. Officers learned that the vehicle was traveling towards the Beltline in Monona from I-90.
