Pedestrian Struck by vehicle on South Roane St. in Harriman this morning
Harriman police and fire First Responders were sent to the area across from the Cracker Barrel entrance to where a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the southbound Lanes of Highway 27. The incident happened sometime after 9:00 a.m. We received information from the Harriman Fire Department Assistant Chief John Johnson that the person was in his early sixties and was struck by a vehicle with a female driver. No further information was available, but the bicyclist was transported to the Roane Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Highway 27 had one lane blocked for the investigation and care of the patient.

After 36 years, a Jane Doe found dead in Roane County has been identified as Betty Lou Wisely. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Roane County Sheriff's Office used DNA technology to solve the mystery. The case remains open for further information.

CROSSVILLE MAN HITS HIGHWAY PATROL CRUISER THEN RUNS OFF
A Crossville man was charged after he allegedly hit an unmarked THP cruiser and another vehicle while attempting to flee the scene. The Trooper said he was stopped at the intersection of North Main and Miller Avenue when the vehicle behind him ran into his cruiser. As the suspect vehicle attempted to go around the cruiser, it sideswiped another vehicle and continued to drive away from the scene. The Trooper activated the blue lights and the vehicle stopped after a short period of time at the intersection of Livingston Road and Keyes Street.
Arrest of Raymond Reme Vandal RPD
A Rockwood man was arrested Wednesday afternoon just before 2:00 PM after threatening a female at a residence at 421 South Kingston Avenue. Rockwood fire was called to the scene after a call from the home occupant identified as who said a man identified as Raymond Vandal was in the attic and was going to set fire to the home and had been beaten her for over a week, and there were drugs thrown all over the house as well. On arrival of the Rockwood Police Department officers were dispatched and told that the male on the scene had barricaded himself in the residence attic and was saying he was going to start the fire. when officers arrived on scene a female located inside the house came outside and told officers that Raymond Vandal was indeed in the Attic. Officers were able to talk with him and after they made contact, noticed he had a needle sticking out of his arm and an air pistol in his hand. according to the report, he threw the pistol out of the attic and at the officers feet. After a few minutes of talking they removed him from the attic and into custody. As he was inside the patrol car the report states he began to beat his head upon the divider glass and they had to take him out and calm him down before putting him back in the patrol car and taking him to the jail where he remains today. The victim did show signs that she had marks on her and slight bleeding from her mouth and nose area . Raymond Vandal Jr. was charged with Domestic Assault Resisting stop, frisk, halt arrest, or search (no weapon), obstructing service of process. He is being held on a $4500 bond.

Missing 86-year-old man found after TBI issued Silver Alert
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - After issuing a Silver Alert early Tuesday evening, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation found missing 86-year-old man Curtis Fitzgerald, Sr. Fitzgerald was missing out of Roane County and was last seen on Nov. 28 in Kingston and may be in the Oak Ridge area. TBI reports that Fitzgerald was found safely in the Maryville area.

Maryville Police officers located missing person Curtis L. Fitzgerald Tuesday evening, Nov. 28. Fitzgerald, 86, Kingston, was the subject of a Silver Alert out of Roane County issued by TBI earlier that day. Officers found him driving his black SUV on East Harper Avenue at about 8:10 p.m. He was taken to the Maryville Police Department and later released to his family.
