'Serial pooper' has left their mess on gravestones at Dearborn cemetery seven times since February: report

DEARBORN (WWJ) — The search is on for a “serial pooper” who has been wreaking havoc on a Dearborn cemetery.

The suspect has frequently “relieved themselves” multiple times at the Northview Cemetery — near Outer Drive and Military Street — in recent months, according to a report from The Detroit Free Press .

Dearborn police have been called to the Northview Cemetery seven times since late February, according to the report.

A city spokesperson says the serial pooper doesn’t have a specific gravesite, as feces have been found in multiple locations throughout the cemetery, according to the Free Press.

The serial defecator wears dark clothes and a hooded sweatshirt and “leaves a big mess behind, including used toilet paper,” according to the report. The suspect apparently always strikes “under the cover of darkness.”

While DNA tests have not been run on the poop, Dearborn police are working to identify the suspect, the report said.

The Free Press report says the suspect has “kept its business off the gravesite of actor George Peppard.” Peppard, who starred with Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany's,” is buried at the Northview Cemetery.
