RTA announces service changes to begin next month

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Greater Dayton RTA has announced a few service changes taking effect in May.

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority is expanding some routes as well as making slight changes to others.

These changes were made based on customer and driver feedback and will take effect beginning on Sunday, May 26, according to a release from the RTA.

The adjustments set to take effect are listed below.

  • Route 12 will no longer traverse Olive Road past 6 p.m.
  • Route 19 will broaden to serve riders along State Route 725 and Kingsridge Drive.
  • Route 22 will broaden as well to better serve riders along the Webster Street corridor.
  • Route 28 will service longer for riders until 11:46 p.m.
  • Route 43 will also see a schedule change.
  • Connect On-Demand Zone 1 is being expanded to “serve current and future development.” The zone will also no longer serve the Kingsridge Drive corridor due to Route 19’s servicing of the corridor.
