DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Typically occurring on the weekends in the Oregon District, Out on 5th is back a few days ahead of Easter.

During that time, Fifth Street will be closed between Patterson Blvd. and Wayne Ave.

Businesses go beyond their brick-and-mortar into the open air. Restaurants and bars expand their patio seating into the streets. Retail shops utilize the sidewalk space in front of their shops. Live, local entertainment will also play over the weekend.

The Oregon District is a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) allowing patrons to take their alcoholic beverages outside of a bar or restaurant. Public tables will be set up for patrons with a sticker stating there is no table service. Other tables may be patio extensions.

Those picking up food orders should look for yellow and green pick-up-only parking signs; flashers must be on and parking time is limited to 10 minutes.
