Zionsville & Frankfort Claim Top Two Spots On Safewise ‘Safest Cities In Indiana’ List For 2024
The Town of Zionsville and City of Frankfort snagged the top two spots on the Safewise 10 Safest Cities in Indiana for 2024 due to the property crime rates and. The Town of Zionsville rose to first place and clocked in a population of 32,575 and a decreased violent crime rate that helped offset its rise in property crime rate. The calculated violent crime rate for the town was 0.1 in 2024 compared to 0.3 in 2023 and 0.5 in 2022, and the property crime rate is 3.7 for 2024 compared to 3.6 in 2023 and 3 in 2022.

Frankfort Flea Market Kicks Off On June 27 At Veterans Park
The Frankfort Board of Public Works and Safety approved the implementation of a Frankfort Flea Market for the community to enjoy during the summer months beginning in June. The Frankfort Flea Market will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month through September on June 27, Aug. 22 and Sept. 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Veterans Park in Frankfort. Organizer MaryLynn Peter, who revitalized the Frankfort Farmers and Artisan Market, stated that depending on the success of the event, it may begin earlier in 2025 than June.
