Legislative and Education Committee Update 5/6 through 5/10. Well, we made it. The end of the session officially occurred on Saturday, May 11th, at 2:07 a.m. To say it was a whirlwind of an end would be an understatement, with action happening on 68 bills this week. Notch Road opens for the season
STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) - A sign of the season -- Smugglers’ Notch is now open to drivers. VTrans says scenic Route 108 officially opened at noon Tuesday. Officials say new traffic control devices, chicanes, have been added on the Cambridge and Stowe sides this year to try and prevent large trucks and busses from getting stuck on narrow and curvy road.
