DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Police and Vermilion County Sheriff’s Departments will pay tribute to their fallen officers and deputies this week as part of National Police Week.

The departments will host their annual memorial service on Thursday to honor three officers and deputies — August Lind (EOW April 10, 1908), David Farnsworth (EOW Jan. 27, 1976) and Myron Deckard (EOW June 6, 2001). Mayor Rickey Williams will read their names and a wreath will be presented by Danville Chief of Police Chris Yates and Vermilion County Sheriff Patrick Hartshorn.
