    Man wanted in connection to weekend shooting in Danville

    DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Police Department is actively looking for a man accused of shooting a 17-year-old Sunday night.

    Officials said Kevin Flight, 44, is wanted on an arrest warrant that charged him with aggravated battery with a firearm. He is described as being between 6′ 0″ and 6′ 3″ tall and weighing 210 pounds. Flight, they added, is considered armed and dangerous.

    The shooting Flight is wanted in connection to happened Sunday evening in the area of Fairchild and Sherman Streets. Officials said the 17-year-old victim was shot multiple times and was already receiving medical care by the time officers were informed. The victim is in stable condition.

    The Danville Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating Flight. Anyone who knows of his location is asked to call the DPD at 217-431-2250. Alternatively, anyone wanting to remain anonymous call submit their knowledge to Vermilion County Crime Stoppers by calling their hotline (217-446-8477) or visiting their website . Any information that leads to Flight’s arrest can be rewarded with up to $1,000.
