One-Year Results of the DETOUR2 Trial published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS)
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2024-- Endologix LLC, a privately held, global medical device company dedicated to providing disruptive therapies for the interventional treatment of vascular disease, has announced the online publication of the one-year results of the DETOUR2 Trial in the Journal of Vascular Surgery ( JVS 1 ). The study demonstrated that the DETOUR System offers a viable endovascular option for patients with long segment, complex superficial femoral artery (SFA) disease. Percutaneous Transmural Arterial Bypass (PTAB) with the DETOUR System offers a novel approach to bypass the SFA using the vein as a conduit. The study highlighted low rates of complications, deep venous thrombosis (DVT), and clinically-driven target lesion revascularization (CD-TLR), and excellent one-year primary patency. Mission Viejo residents have been put on high alert after a mountain lion was spotted prowling near one neighborhood over the weekend, but hasn't been seen since. A team from Helping Out Wilderness Locally, or HOWL, spread out through Wilderness Glen on Monday, hours after the big cat was spotted on two separate occasions. Dana Point Harbor Boaters to See Slip-Rate Increase Beginning June 1
Starting June 1, boaters in the Dana Point Harbor will see another hike in their slip rents as rates increase from 4.71% to 15.46% depending on the slip length. The Marina at Dana Point notified boaters of the imminent slip-rate increase on April 22, as the Dana Point Harbor Partners (DPHP) continue to make progress on the estimated $600 million harbor revitalization.

May is Foster Care Awareness month and there are currently more than 3,000 Orange County youth in the foster care system. Many are without any consistent support from a parent or relative. However, many of these children benefit from having a trained volunteer who serves as their mentor and advocate through the CASA program (Court Appointed Special Advocates.) Yet there are still almost 250 children on a waiting list hoping they too can be matched with a CASA volunteer.
New OC Animal Shelter Director Looks to Reconnect With Public
After nearly a year-long search, county officials hired a new animal shelter director — one from within their own walls. The new director, Monica Schmidt, has been working at OC Animal Care in Tustin since 2020 as the assistant director.
