Rock band Pillow Queens among Irish acts to perform at Ohana Festival in California

Irish rock band Pillow Queens are set to perform at the Ohana Festival in California . The popular festival announced its lineup this week with the Irish group announced as part of an exciting lineup.

Also performing at the festival are Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Alanis Morissette, Maren Morris, and Idles, among many others. Pillow Queens aren't the only Irish act on the lineup with Glen Hansard also announced as a performer.

Ohana Festival takes place on Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California from September 27 to September 29. Pillow Queens will perform on the first day of the festival while Glen Hansard will perform on the festival's second day, September 28.

"Very excited to announce that we’ll be playing this year’s @theohanafest in California alongside some of our all time favourite artists," Pillow Queens wrote in a social media post. "We’ve been itching to get back to the states so this is going to be incredible."

Fans were quick to take to the comments in the hopes that the band, who hail from Dublin , would announce more US shows. One person wrote: "Please do a US tour I beg."

Another said: "Any other US dates? Chicago " with a fingers crossed emoji. A third commented: "Please, for the love of god, come to Colorado."

Pillow Queens formed in their native Dublin in 2016 and have seen huge success since then. The band is composed of co-lead vocalists Pamela Connolly and Sarah Corcoran, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Cathy McGuinness, and drummer/backing vocalist Rachel Lyons.

Pillow Queens have traveled to the US to perform on numerous occasions. The band even appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2022.

The foursome recently released their brand-new album Name Your Sorrow which has already received high praise from both fans and critics.

Irish music publication Hotpress said of the record: "You can sense that a shedload of painstaking work went into shaping Name Your Sorrow, each track being – in the best possible sense – a Frankenstein-ian composite of sounds, masterfully stitched, sewn or woven together."
