Since the announcement was made that Lost Pizza Co. was coming to Troy, residents have been excitedly waiting for its opening and that opening is right around the corner. A troubled Mississippi credit union was closed and its members and savings (shares) were assumed by an Alabama Credit Union, the federal regulator announced late Wednesday. Jackson Area Federal Credit Union (FCU), of Jackson Miss., was closed and its members and savings assumed by Five Star Credit Union of Dothan, Ala., the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said. The Alabama credit union, through a partial purchase and assumption, bought some of the closed credit union’s assets. Jackson Area FCU has now been liquidated, the agency said.

C Spire to begin construction on new infrastructure project
C Spire began demolition of a building on Brundidge Street as a part of its planned infrastructure project in Troy. The demolition is of a building at 1016 Brundidge Street on its Troy campus with the intention of C Spire’s new Troy Headend facility being constructed there. A headend facility is a master control center that receives, processes and transmits television signals out to local networks or subscribers.
