For this 101st homecoming, we look at some of our historic buildings, where they came from and the way they’ve changed over the years.

Marines put a bow on the season by blowing out Sturgeon Bay
STURGEON BAY, Wis. — The Marinette High School football team was clicking on all cylinders as it closed out the 2026 season with a resounding 49-0 win at Sturgeon Bay on Friday. With the win, the Marines wrapped their 2026 season with an overall record of 3-6 and a Packerland Conference record of 2-5. Coming on the heels of the program’s most successful season in over a decade, a 6-4 record and a WIAA playoff berth in 2025, the Marines’ 3-6 record this year may seem like a step back. However, the margin between the two seasons was razor thin, coming down to just a handful of plays as three of the six losses came by a single score margin. Marinette could not halt a fourth-quarter drive by Peshtigo that saw the Bulldogs convert a pair of fourth downs on their way to scoring a game-winning touchdown with just 25 seconds to play. The Marines also allowed a 51-yard game-winning touchdown run in the fourth quarter against Southern Door, and a 73-yard touchdown pass that was the difference during a defensive slugfest at Oconto. Those key moments were the difference between 3-6 and 6-3. On Friday, the Marines put the
