Suspect in custody following fatal shooting at Massillon movie theater
MASSILLON, Ohio — A man is dead following a shooting at the Regal Massillon movie theater late Friday night. Eyewitnesses told 3News the shooting occurred some time before 11 p.m. inside the theater lobby. Police could later be seen escorting people from the building on Cherry Road Northwest as the investigation began.

Dundee officer injured during arrest at park
DUNDEE, Ohio — One man is in custody after he allegedly bit and injured a police officer at a Dundee park Thursday. According to a social media post from the Dundee Police Department, an officer attempted to detain a 37-year-old man, whom the post described as homeless. The man was accused of being at Wolverine Park after closing. Law enforcement also said the man had recently illegally entered an abandoned house nearby.

On April 18 when two officers responded to an AMVETS Post on Sherrick Road Southeast. Police say Tyson ran there after crashing his car near the eastern limits of the city of Canton. Canton Police Department quickly released body camera footage showing the death of 53-year-old East Canton resident Frank E. Tyson while in police custody, including his last words of “I can’t breathe.” It is a 35-minute, 46-second video which shows officers arriving to the scene, confronting Tyson, and attempting to take him into custody. What was shocking was what was going on in the bar while Frank E. Tyson laid motionless on the floor, officers can be heard having a conversation about how they always wanted to get into a bar fight.

BARBERTON: A Fairview Avenue woman reported to police April 30 that someone took her backpack containing a computer from inside her unlocked vehicle the night before. Police were called to a West Hopocan Avenue home April 30 for a report of a disturbance. A woman told police a man jumped her as she had a cut between her eyes and a red mark on her arm. A warrant for assault was issued for the man and on May 7, he turned himself in.
