Rudy Gobert is Trending for Punching Luka Doncic During NBA Playoffs

The Dallas Mavericks just defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of the NBA's Western Conference Finals to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series.

Luka Doncic was marvelous in the win, scoring 32 points, dishing out 13 assists, and grabbing 10 rebounds to solidify a triple-double.

While the game came down to a last second controversy, everybody agrees that what Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert did to Doncic in the second quarter was completely uncalled for.

After Doncic secured a rebound and began dribbling down the court, Gobert whacked him in the side of his stomach with a closed fist.

Multiple angles were shown of the punch, and fans are in agreement that Gobert's intentions weren't solely to smack the ball out of Doncic's hand.

But the craziest part is that Gobert wasn't called for a flagrant foul.

"League needs to review this, dirty player," one X user wrote in response.

"Gobert is just draymond with more height and a French accent," said another.

Although what Gobert did was wrong, it was Doncic who got the last laugh on Friday night.
