Leaked Audio Reveals Anthony Edwards' Message to Kyrie Irving During Game 1

On Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 to win Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Kyrie Irving won round one vs. Anthony Edwards, finishing with 30 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Edwards, meanwhile, still had a strong performance (19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists). But he was visibly fatigued down the stretch of the fourth quarter after having to chase Irving around all night long.

Edwards was mic'd up during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. After hitting a huge three in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves star stared down Irving and hit him with a bold message.

"Come on, man! It's for you, ain't it," Edwards told Irving.

Edwards may have made a mistake when he expressed excitement about having the chance to guard Kyrie Irving ahead of Game 1. Irving used his viral comments as motivation and as a sign of respect.

"I used it as motivation…That's a no-fear mentality, and that's why we love Ant," said Irving.
