NBA World Reaches Consensus On Luka Doncic After WCF Game 1

Luka Doncic's strong fourth quarter pushed the Mavericks to a 108-105 Game 1 win in the Western Conference Finals against the Timberwolves.

The 2023-24 First-Team All-NBAer scored 15 of his 33 points in the final quarter.

Doncic shot 12-of-26 and added six rebounds, eight assists and three steals in Dallas' upset road win. Per ESPN Bet , Minnesota entered the game a 4.5-point favorite.

"We had to work really hard," said Doncic following the game in an on-court interview with TNT's Allie LaForce.

"But that's only one. We got three more to go," he cautioned.

Fans weren't so humble, quickly labeling Doncic "THE REAL MVP."

"Luka owns," boasted one fan.

"Luka truly dominated tonight! His ability to control the game's pace is turning him into a playoff legend," declared another.

In response to a clip posted by The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor of Doncic playing excellent defense down the stretch on top of his offensive prowess, one fan predicted, "It’s entirely possible that the next three weeks become a Luka coronation."

Game 2 is Friday night in Minnesota.
