Former President Donald Trump appeared to freeze for more than half a minute while giving a speech at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Dallas, Texas, this weekend.

The former president spoke after keeping the crowd waiting for more than two hours on Saturday, praising the state of Texas before he suddenly fell silent .

Biden’s supporters were quick to jump at the moment from the 77-year-old Trump, with the Biden campaign sharing it on X.

“The Texas spirit of proud independence was forged by cowboys and cattle hands, ranchers and rangers, oil workers, soldiers, and brave, brave, brave pioneers,” Trump said. “Many came here with nothing but the boots or their feet, the clothes on their back, and the gun in their saddle. Together, they helped make America into the single greatest nation in the history of the world.”

It was then that Trump stopped speaking as music started to play, and Trump looked on in frustration.

Some have said online that the pause was a result of Trump’s teleprompter shutting down, but there has been no confirmation that the freeze was caused by a technical issue.

Near the end of Trump’s silence, he could be seen shaking his head before continuing his speech.

“But now we are a nation in decline,” Trump said. “We are a failing nation. We are a nation that has the highest inflation in 58 years, where banks are collapsing, and interest rates are skyrocketing.”

Online, some have started to compare Trump’s moment with that of another top Republican, Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

McConnell has made headlines in recent months, with many worrying about his health after appearing to freeze while speaking with reporters on Capitol Hill and in his home state of Kentucky weeks later.

“He pulled a Mitch?” one user asked under a post of the video.

Another post from the Biden campaign showed Trump grabbing onto a lectern during a speech he gave on Friday in Minnesota. In the video, Trump can be seen almost falling over as the podium shifts.

“A feeble Trump nearly falls down on stage after he leans on his podium too hard and then goes on an angry rant calling his event workers ‘crappy,’” the post reads .

“You know this is the worst platform. Who put this stage up?” Trump says in the video. “The fricking place is falling down. I notice it keeps tilting to the left. Like too many other things!”
