Game 6 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks was nothing short of magnificent. However, like many NBA Playoff games, it came down to a controversial referee call that ultimately decided the game and the series.

The Mavericks found themselves down by 17 in the second half, which didn’t last long, thanks to the performances of Derrick Jones Jr (22 points), Kyrie Irving (22 points), and Luka Doncic (29 points).

But it wasn’t their heroics at the end that sealed the win for Dallas.

With 2.1 seconds left and the Thunder leading 116-115, P.J. Washington was fouled by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on a three-point attempt.

Many believed that Gilgeous-Alexander made contact with the ball first, including Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, who challenged the call. However, the call was ultimately upheld.

The call has NBA fans everywhere losing their minds on social media—some believing it was a foul.

Other individuals, on the other hand, disagree with the game-altering call.

Some are simply upset that this is how the game ended.

Regardless of the correctness of the call, it's never enjoyable to witness a referee essentially decide the outcome of a game.

The Mavericks advance to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years and await the winner of Game 7 between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
