The Vancouver Canucks were able to close out their series on the road and the Vegas Golden Knights were able to force a Game 7 against the Dallas Stars.

Both games were low-scoring, with tight checking and needed late third-period goals.

With 1:39 left in the game, Pius Suter was finally able to break the deadlock to help the Canucks clinch their first-round series. Arturs Silovs stopped all 28 shots he faced to earn his first career shutout in his third career postseason game. They'll have home-ice advantage against the Edmonton Oilers in round two.

Another game that was tied going into the third period before someone finally scored. After playing just about two and a half periods, Noah Hanifin was finally able to break the tie. A shot that took a slight deflection was the only way the Golden Knights were going to beat Jake Oettinger. Adin Hill had himself a game as well stopping all 23 shots he faced to record his third career playoff shutout. Game 7 will be on Sunday in Dallas.

The Boston Bruins will have the opportunity to clinch their series tonight with a win in Game 7.
