It's another humid morning across North Texas, with some fog forming across the area. Temperatures started in the 60s Tuesday morning with low clouds invading from the south. It'll be another nice day with highs in the mid-80s. South winds have returned at 10 to 20 mph.

Later Tuesday afternoon, the dryline in West Texas will edge to the east, but won't make it to Dallas-Fort Worth. There will be some isolated severe storms forming. These will be traveling southeast through the late evening hours, but we'll most likely die out before they reach Denton and Fort Worth. I'll be watching just in case.

More of the same Wednesday with morning clouds, a few sprinkles, and peaks of afternoon sun. Highs once again will be in the mid-80s. The dryline will get more active on Wednesday afternoon. Widespread shower and thunderstorm activity, some severe, will break out to the west of us. It looks like a messy commute is ahead for Thursday morning.

Storms should spread east by late Thursday morning with a break during the afternoon. Highs will be near 80 degrees. A weak cold front will settle into the area Thursday evening. There may be a few more scattered strong and isolated severe storms forming along that front. It all depends on if the atmosphere destabilizes with sunshine during the day. I'll be watching.

Friday's relatively quiet with a high near 80 degrees.

This weekend looks rather active. The system I'll be watching is still over the Pacific ocean. So it's still too early to tell you the exact timing and placement of the shower and thunderstorm activity. But I'm definitely putting it into the forecast. Some storms may be strong to severe, but again this is days away I will keep you posted. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees this weekend.

If this system moves out late Sunday, Monday will be decent with highs warming into the mid 80s under a partly cloudy sky.
