Missing man found
A South Salem man who was reported as missing after leaving his home around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday was found safe and was back at home around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Michael Marler, 64, had not been seen since he left home for work Tuesday morning. His family said he did not return home for lunch or after his shift as he usually does Tuesday and was still missing late Wednesday.

CHILLICOTHE — Chillicothe and the surrounding area continue to stay busy with 60 permits shown on the April 2024 Permit Report from the Ross County Building Department. In Chillicothe Petland Inc. received a permit for the demolition of a building near Petland Inc. on Riverside Street. Communications Director for Petlean, Maria Smith, said the building was previously a used appliance warehouse and is in "disrepair."
