Hazard rolls past Buckhorn
Hazard didn’t have any trouble in the opening round of the 54th District Tournament against Buckhorn Monday as the Bulldogs rolled to a 15-0 win in three innings of play. HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - After a taste of summer to start the week, an unsettled weather pattern is ahead for the remainder of the week. Scattered showers are possible tonight under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. A strong thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out, but the overall chance is low. Some areas of dense fog are also possible. Overnight lows only fall into the mid-60s.
Workshop offers unique opportunity for teachers
Patrick Hall, a history and political science teacher at Hazard High School and a teacher leader with the Holocaust Education Initiative, will be hosting a paid virtual workshop for regional teachers on May 29. The workshop offers 10 hours of credit or a $250 stipend and is supported by the University of Kentucky.
