The Pine Crest will be holding block parties on Wednesday, June 12, through Saturday, June 15, so that is going to be a hot spot in Pinehurst. The parties start at 3 p.m. and Dogwood Road will become pedestrian-only. There will be food trucks, entertainment and a full bar. Admission is free.

Driver injured after collision in Cameron
A collision in Cameron on Saturday morning shut down one lane of N.C. 24-27. The two-vehicle crash happened near the intersection of Oakley Road around 10:30 a.m. According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a Buick passenger car was traveling west towards Carthage when the female driver attempted to turn left into a driveway.
