Feeling like summer this week
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Summer officially begins on June 21st, but it will definitely feel like summer is in full effect this week. An upper-level ridge of high pressure will build across our region Tuesday - Thursday, and it’ll keep temps near or above the average (low 90s). It will also help suppress widespread rain development.

More showers for Monday, then it gets drier and hotter
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Meridian (as well as much of our area) picked up measurable rainfall over the weekend. Monday brings the chance for more scattered showers & storms, but not everyone gets it. So, the day won’t be a wash-out. The best timing for scattered showers will be during the late afternoon and early evening, and most areas will get less than an inch. Highs will climb into the upper 80s... feeling more like low 90s when you factor in the humidity.
