Big-rig crash near Truckee causes long delays on I-80 for Tahoe travelers
A big-rig crash that blocked all eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Truckee on Friday caused significant traffic backups for motorists heading toward Lake Tahoe and Reno. The No. 1 lane reopened shortly before 4 p.m., but the No. 2 lane remained closed near Floriston, while crews continued working at the scene, the California Highway Patrol's Truckee office said.

Two Teslas and a semi-truck collided Friday morning on westbound I-80 near the McCarran Boulevard East exit, causing lane closures and traffic delays. The crash happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. near the Sparks Marina. The Nevada Department of Transportation website reported a minor crash that initially blocked two westbound lanes near East Victorian Avenue. Both lanes have since reopened.
