It’s the end of April and snow is possible in the Sierra Thursday night through Friday. The snow level will drop to 6500’ late Thursday night and stay there for much of Friday. The snow will be slushy and travel impacts will be minor. Friday will be chilly in the valley with temperatures in the mid to upper 50’s. There is also a fifty percent chance of rain in the Truckee Meadows on Friday, with rain, lightning, and ice pellets possible with any showers that do develop. Good news though, the system will be out of here by Saturday, making for a great weekend.
