Reno drivers are seeing high prices at the pump, with diesel sitting near a record high. Dilek Uz, an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno, sat down with ARC Reno Tuesday morning to break down what is driving the increase. AAA listed Reno’s average regular gas price at about $5.61 a gallon and diesel at about $7.01. Uz explained that higher diesel prices can affect trucking, deliveries, agriculture and construction, which can add to business costs and eventually impact consumers.

(KOLO) - Downtown Reno streets are changing as the Biggest Little Bike Network aims to make travel safer and more comfortable. “We chose the streets based on where people were already riding, public input, and also data collection on which places could benefit most from safety improvements. We’re going to improve pedestrian accessibility, pedestrian crossings, as well as access to our transit stations,” Sarah Going, RTC Project Manager said.
