The Hawkins County Commission voted Monday to postpone consideration of a new office lease contract for the Hawkins County Industrial Board which would increase rent each year for the next three years. The Hawkins County Commission voted Monday to approve a one time $6,500 allocation to help the Goshen Valley VFD install a fuel storage tank at its station on the south side of the Goshen Valley Bridge. Former Hawkins County Juvenile Judge Daniel Boyd has paid the county back $100,000 of the approximately $120,000 he was paid in salary and benefits while on suspension awaiting the resolution of his criminal charges.
