Sanford Health to acquire Great Plains Women’s Health Center in Williston
WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Sanford Health officials said they will take over the Great Plains Women’s Health Center in Williston. Sanford President and CEO Todd Schaffer said existing staff will be offered jobs to continue working under the new ownership. He adds they will continue to offer the same services with the addition of primary and specialty care in the future.
Williston Basin School Board chooses Williston Square as tentative location for new elementary school
WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - The Williston Basin School Board chose Williston Square as the location for the new elementary school. The decision was between the square, located at the old airport, and an area across from Sportsman’s Warehouse on 32nd Ave West. While board members said both locations were suitable, the majority said the square is preferable for its infrastructure and benefits to Williston.

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Providing childcare services can be difficult in a growing community, but one Williston childcare operator says the industry is improving. Kenzi Brown owns “Coyote Pups Learning Den,” which is two facilities serving about 140 children. Speaking at a “Brew Your Business” meeting Wednesday, she says she recently expanded into larger buildings when she saw the need for more space.
