Creston Police Arrest Hancock County Man Wanted For Escape

(Creston) Creston Police arrested a Woden, Iowa, man on Saturday who was wanted for escaping the Fort Des Moines Correctional Facility. Authorities arrested 30-year-old James Dean Michelson at the Creston Union County Law Enforcement Center on a Polk County Warrant for Escape and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, 3rd Offense. Michelson is held on no bond and is awaiting extradition to Polk County.

Creston Police arrested 25-year-old Emanuel Artistides Cisneros of Texas on Sunday at 303 W Adams for OWI 1st Off se. Cisneros was taken to the Union County Jail and released on $1000 cash or surety bond.

Norma Putnam, of 811 W Mills in Creston, reported that on Sunday, someone entered her unlocked vehicle parked behind her residence and took her purse. The purse contained $100 in cash, two debit cards, car keys, and a cellular device. The estimated loss is $300.00.
