Marquette County Road Commission asks drivers to stay home

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette County Road Commission is asking drivers to stay home and off the roads Monday morning. MCRC Director of Operations and Maintenance Ross Olsen told TV6 Monday at approximately 6:30 a.m. that even commission employees were struggling to get into work, despite being well-equipped to handle heavy snow. He said the commission was having to send out available drivers in plows to get the rest of its employees into work.

Crash causes traffic slowdown on CR 550 near Powell Township

POWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - A two-vehicle crash has caused one lane of traffic on County Road 550 near Powell Township to be closed as first responders evaluate the scene. A TV6 reporter at the scene has confirmed that at least two vehicles were involved in the crash and that the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and the Marquette Township Fire Department are among those responding to the crash.

'Tow to Go' available over the holidays
