COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Coventry detectives are investigating a fight that sent two people to the hospital with stab wounds.

Police said they were called Wednesday to a home on Mapledale Street for a report of a “large disturbance.” Some people had fled by the time police arrived, but others remained.

Police learned there was a fight between two groups of men that resulted in injuries from “sharp-edged weapons.”

One of the people involved was taken to the hospital that night, according to police, while another was found Thursday morning and transported. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police said a third person was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

No one involved has been identified at this time and no charges have been announced.
