BEA tennis team downs St. James 5-2
The Blue Earth Area boys tennis team served the St. James Saints a 5-2 defeat on Tuesday, May 7. That being said, St. James’s Andrei Rivera proved a formidable opponent for BEA’s Joe Frundt. Rivera booked a 7-5, 6-2 victory over the Bucs’ No. 1 singles player.
BEA girls first, boys third at BSC golf meet
The New Ulm Country Club was the site of the Big South Conference East Division Girls Invitational which was held on Monday, May 6. Winning the six team 18-hole tournament was Blue Earth Area with a team score of 359. Placing second, 32 strokes behind the Bucs, was Fairmont with 391. Waseca finished third with 414, St. Peter was fourth with 432, New Ulm came in fifth with 479 and Jackson County Central placed sixth with 520.
