2nd Annual Angels & Saints Axe of Love Tournament set for April 24
JAMESTOWN, ND — Pit Stop Sports in Jamestown will host the 2nd Annual Angels & Saints Axe of Love Tournament on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. All proceeds will benefit families who experience infant loss through the Advocating for Neonatal Grief and Early Loss Support (ANGELS) fund. Dave and Dr. Mandy Sorlie and their family created the ANGELS fund in 2015 to cover medical costs at Jamestown Regional Medical Center for families who experience the loss of an infant during pregnancy. To date, 25 families have received support.
Rainy Forecast Causes UJ Baseball Schedule Change
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Jimmie Baseball will have its last GPAC regular season games a bit earlier than originally scheduled. Because of a rainy weekend forecast, the Jimmies will now host three games against Hastings instead of four. Those games will all be played in a tripleheader Thursday at Jack Brown Stadium beginning at noon.
One arrested after stealing vehicle, leading Jamestown Police on pursuit
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Valley News Live) - One juvenile was arrested after stealing a vehicle and then leading Jamestown Police on a pursuit Tuesday afternoon. Jamestown police responded to the 2200 block of 5th Street Northeast just after 12 p.m. after a woman called and reported her vehicle was stolen. According to police, the woman reported that she was on a lunch break and left her keys in her SUV, and witnessed it being driven westbound as she was on the phone with 911.
