‘Hit list’ containing 5 students found at Lake Roosevelt High School in Grand Coulee, police involved
GRAND COULEE, Wash. – A “hit list” was emailed between two Lake Roosevelt High School students in late April according to the Grand Coulee Dam School District. The district says that the student who allegedly wrote the list sent it to another student, who agreed to help.

Home sales up despite higher interest rates
KIRKLAND — Activity in the housing market increased in April in spite of rising interest rates, according to data from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, which compiles statistics from 26 of Washington’s 39 counties. Interest rates have increased by 0.38 percentage points over the past month to 7.17%, continuing to constrain prospective buyers’ purchasing power and prospective sellers’ willingness to give up low-interest-rate mortgages, according to the NWMLS.
Suspect arrested after allegedly shooting Moses Lake police officer
MOSES LAKE, Wash. — The suspect who allegedly shot a Moses Lake police officer on Saturday was arrested. The Grant County Sheriff's Office confirmed 37-year-old Zachary Allen Stockton was arrested after he allegedly shot a Moses Lake police officer on May 4. The officer was transported to the hospital where they are recovering.

Changes to Grant Co. marijuana regs coming in July
EPHRATA — While some licenses have been issued to multiple entities, as of April 25 the unincorporated areas of Grant County have 117 active licenses for marijuana producers and 29 for marijuana processors. There are 57 tax parcels in the unincorporated areas where people are producing or processing marijuana, according to data that Grant County Development Services personnel obtained from the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board.
