OWENSBORO – The 2024 season high school golf season started in very positive fashion Monday for two Murray High girls players. Lady Tiger seniors Macy Saylor and Emerson Vaughn both registered top-10 finishes in the Daviess County Invitational at the Pearl Club in Owensboro. Against a field of 68 players, some of whom are among the top high schoolers in the commonwealth, Saylor finished with a career-best score for a 18-hole round - 76 - that was good enough for sixth, while Vaughn was solid as well with a 77 that gave her seventh place.
