Where Oregon State Beavers, Oregon Ducks rank in national college baseball polls

By Jarrid Denney, Salem Statesman Journal,

Oregon State baseball either held its ground or dropped slightly in each of the major college baseball polls this week after an up-and-down showing at Washington State.

The Beavers (36-12, 14-9 Pac-12) took two of three games from the Cougars (20-26, 8-16) in Pullman over the weekend. But their pitching struggles persisted in a 10-9 loss on Saturday, and that was ultimately enough to ding their resume.

In this week's D1Baseball top 25 , Mitch Canham's OSU squad dropped from No. 6 to No. 7. The Beavers are still the top-ranked Pac-12 school. Oregon (32-15, 14-10), which was not ranked last week, landed at No. 25 after capturing a pair of wins over second-place Utah.

Oregon State's 20-13 win over Gonzaga on Monday, which featured multi-home run games from Travis Bazzana, Gavin Turley and Wilson Weber, did not factor into the updated rankings.

Here is where the Beavers and the Ducks sit in the rest of the major college baseball polls.

What's next for the Ducks and Beavers?

Oregon will hit the road for a three-game series with 10th-place Washington (18-22-1, 9-15) in Seattle. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The game will air on Pac-12 Washington.
