CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — A search for a missing Texas A&M Corpus Christi student is entering its third week, prompting local, state and federal officials to solve the case.

Caleb Harris, 21, was reported missing on March 4 near his apartment complex, located on the 1900 block of Ennis Joslin Road in Corpus Christi.

Harris’ family reported Caleb missing after his roommates were able to find him.

Two days after Harris went missing, the Corpus Christi Police Department issued a search in the area where he was last seen.

“Caleb left behind his keys, vehicle, and wallet. Caleb did have his phone with him but is now turned off,” the Corpus Christi Police Department announced on March 5.

According to ValleyCentral affiliate NewsNation, Caleb’s father says his son does not have a habit of leaving without letting people know where he was going.

Caleb’s father, Randy Harris, told NewsNation his son walked his dog shortly before 3 a.m., returned home with the dog and ordered Uber Eats at 2:45 a.m.

He then left his apartment again to wait outside for his order and has not been seen since.

“He was a very scheduled individual. He was texting me photos of fishing lures earlier in the evening of what he was planning on using the next day,” Randy Harris said. “Everything was looking good, He had good grades. There’s no indication of anything.”

Authorities have described the three week search as “exhaustive” and “unsuccessful” after searching hundreds of acres surrounding Harris’ apartment complex on Ennis Joslin Road.

The investigation has expanded to other South Texas cities of New Braunfels and San Antonio to conduct interviews with potential witnesses.

“Despite these exhaustive efforts, investigators still have not settled upon a motive for Harris’ strange disappearance, nor identified a suspect or person of interest,” Corpus Christi PD said on March 20.
