Magnet ceremony celebrates seniors, teachers
Lebanon High School celebrated the end of the school year with its annual Magnet Ceremony. Principal Dr. Kati O’Quinn announced Mr. Magnet as Caleb Ray and Miss Magnet as Ella Johnson. Other awards included language and art department awards as well as staff recognition. Student hosts of the ceremony informed the audience before the reveal that the 2023-2024 yearbook’s theme is Fingerprints, representing both the individuality and unity of the class. Women's fly fishing event is Saturday at Bennett Spring
Women will have a chance to learn about fly fishing at a Bennett Spring State Park event this weekend. The Womens Fly Fishing program, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, is sponsored by the Southwest Missouri Fly FIshers (SMFF). The event’s aim is to get women and girls independent and confident on the water, according to Amanda Miller of the SMFF. “We always try to keep it mostly women teaching women,” she said. “Out goal is to make women comfortable and confident on the water.
