Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 33-year-old man was caught with over 20 grams of cocaine and fentanyl in his pockets Sunday near Upstate University Hospital, police said. Officers stopped Nathan K. King who was walking in the 300 block of Renwick Avenue, near the Pioneer Homes, police said in a criminal complaint filed in Syracuse City Court.
Pickup truck side swipes State Police patrol car; troopers ask public’s help finding driver
Syracuse, N.Y. — State Police are looking for a truck that hit a patrol car Monday morning and fled the scene in Syracuse, troopers said. No one was inside the patrol car when it was hit around 3:55 a.m., said Jennifer L. Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.
Man who threatened to shoot up NY supermarket sentenced to probation
Syracuse, N.Y. — A Jamesville man who threatened a mass shooting at a Tops grocery store in Manlius was sentenced Friday to one year of probation, prosecutors said. Zachary Mullen, 22, pleaded guilty last week to making a terroristic threat, a felony. He was arrested in March 2023 after the discovery of threatening messages he posted to the social media site Discord.

OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented two proclamations to members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office during the Legislature’s May meeting. The recognitions honored May 12-18 as National Police Week and May 5-11 as National Correctional Officers Week. National Police Week highlights the important role that law enforcement officers play in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all citizens and honors officers for their essential public service. National Correctional Officers Week recognizes the men and women who work in the field of corrections and the important role they play within the criminal justice system.
