An official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce, along with an open house for the new office will take place Oct. 15 from 3-6 p.m. The public can meet Pauquette leaders and mental health providers while enjoying a snack and other activities at the open house. Some services Pauquette offers are therapy for individuals, couples and families. The Pauquette Center for Psychological Services has operated in rural Wisconsin for 60 years. Fort Atkinson joins Portage, Baraboo, Reedsburg, Columbus, Prairie du Sac, Whitewater and Madison, in hosting a Pauquette location. “Rural areas across Wisconsin are really hurting for (mental health) services — the need for mental health services has far exceeded the number of providers for years — And I think rural communities feel that more than anywhere else,” said Pauquette Center President and owner Lesley Chapin. “Sometimes there are health deserts in various areas of the state, so it’s great that Fort HealthCare exists and they’re a rural health
