Back in 2019, Ohio State took care of business against Michigan and one of the main reasons for that outcome was the ground attack they had carved up.

J.K. Dobbins’ final crack at Michigan resulted in him running for 211 yards and four touchdowns against the Wolverines. Awkwardly enough for Dobbins, he is now playing for the guy that he ran wild against back in November of 2019.

Dobbins signing with the Los Angeles Chargers to play for Jim Harbaugh is a pretty cool story when you consider the two used to be on opposite sides of the biggest football rivalry.

Harbaugh is likely hoping that Dobbins can reclaim some of that success he had back in college, now on Sundays for the Chargers. Since becoming a pro, Dobbins has struggled with injuries. He only played in a single game last season because of an Achilles injury and another serious injury in 2022 only allowed him to play in eight games.

As a rookie, Dobbins had over 800 yards rushing for the Baltimore Ravens and only made one start. When he’s been healthy in the NFL, Dobbins has shown to be a very good back overall.

Dobbins will still be sharing the running back room with Gus Edwards, who came over in free agency from the Ravens as well. Both players are going from playing for John to Jim Harbaugh, as they’ve taken the side of the other brother.

Now, the former Buckeye, Dobbins, will have a chance to resurrect his career under the lead of a coach that he made life tough for just a few years ago.
