A new Five Guys appears to be on its way to Columbus. According to a permit filing with the City of Columbus, fast casual burger chain Five Guys is making plans to open a location at 491 E Livingston Ave, in German Village. As detailed in the building plans associated with the permit filing that have been viewed by What Now Columbus , the forthcoming location will be over 2,500 square feet.

The building will have an occupancy load of 62, and will have seating for over 30 guests inside, with around a dozen seats outdoors. Additional information found in the permit state that the projected cost of the new restaurant will be $600,000, and Akron based GPD Group is listed as the architect of record for the project.

Five Guys currently has over 1,700 restaurants nationwide, with the German Village location making the 16th restaurant in the Columbus area.

With a menu that features burgers and fries, available with cajun seasoning or lightly salted, as well as hot dogs and sandwiches like grilled cheese, BLT and a veggie sandwich. Perhaps nothing goes as well with burgers and fries like a milkshake, and the eatery serves shakes in a number of flavors including classic choices such as chocolate and strawberry to unique offerings like a bacon milkshake, as well as peanut butter or Oreo cookie flavor.

The anticipated timeline for opening the German Village location isn’t clear. What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with the burger chain to get details on when construction will start, but didn’t receive a response by the time this article was published.
