RIVERFEST: Annual fundraising music festival returns to Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — As the season of festivals returns, the Fountain City will not be left out. RiverFest returns to Woodruff Riverfront Park Friday, May 3, starting at 5 p.m.
Across Friday and Saturday, there will be live music from five artists and groups. The weekend kicks off with a set by Holley Rumbarger and the Mississippi Shakedown, starting at 6 p.m. Friday night.
Local R&B, soul and funk group D.S.O.S. will close out the first night of RiverFest with a performance at 8 p.m.
The second day of the festival will feature blues from Skyler Saufley and the 99th Degree, southern singer Tanner Fussell and Phenix City country artist Jonboy Storey.
The festival, which serves as an annual fundraiser for local nonprofit Uptown Columbus, aligns with the Freestyle Kayaking Columbus Cup. Kayakers will compete in the Chattahoochee River, next to Woodruff Park and Waveshaper Island.
Ticket prices for the festival vary depending on day and age. Friday passes are $10 but will go up to $15 at 4 p.m. on May 3. Saturday passes will be slightly more expensive at $15 and will increase in price to $20 at 1 p.m. on May 3.
Community members looking to attend RiverFest both days can do so at a discounted rate. Two-day passes cost $20, going up in price by $5 at 1 p.m. on May 3.
Children under 12 may attend RiverFest for free. Tickets are available for purchase through the Uptown Columbus website .
