“Cell Phone-Free” expands for Hope Public Schools
HOPE – Hope Public Schools (HPS) joins a select group of schools participating in a “Cell Phone-Free” study during the 2024-2025 school year. The study is being conducted through the Office of Educational Policy under the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The district has been approved to receive equipment to help facilitate the new “no cell phone” policies being put in place.
Interim Superintendent updates Mineral Springs School Board on salary schedule
On Wednesday, the Mineral Springs School Board held a special meeting. Interim Superintendent JonDavid Amerson briefed the board on updates to the salary schedule, including a new adjustment from the last meeting and the addition of a principal stipend. He also announced Stacy Gaddis’s move to the Assistant Principal position, expressing confidence in her abilities. The board, with a motion by Dorothy Vaughn and a second by Xavier Vaughn, unanimously approved the revised Salary Schedule.
